中文字辨識歷程的個別差異分析

摘要

本研究設計一個電腦化的國字比對作業,並從個別差異的分析入手,企圖探討受試者在辨識中國字時的知覺過程,也同時探討在這樣的文字收錄歷程裡,形碼與音碼所扮演的角色。實驗一發現,個別差異資料可以透過一些數量程序進行分析,並將受試者依其反映組型的不同而分組以代表不同的認知歷程;根據此種分組後的資料再分析形碼與音馬有關的變項之效果,由此而得到相當清楚的面貌:他顯示了在字形比對的作業裡,形碼的消息似乎比音碼的消息扮演了更重要的角色。根據實驗一的某些結果,實驗二企圖引導受試者按照實驗者希望的固定方式進行消息處理,結果除了支持實驗一衍生的某些想法外,也再度驗證了形碼重要性的看法。


Subject Difference in Chinese Character Matching

Abstract

In the present study, a computerized Chinese character matching task was designed to elaborate the cognitive process of character recognition in Chinese. Due to the capability of gathering a great amount of measures in this task, the analysis of individual differences becomes possible. Some earlier conceptions about internal representation of Chinese characters were also re-examined with a data-analytic strategy which did not assume that different subjects follow the same psychological process. Two experiments were conducted and the results showed that (1) using dummy variable coding, linear model could be adopted to fit the process model with reaction time data, and (2) the morphological code seemed to play a more important role than phonological code in this kind of Chinese character matching task.
