Abstract

In the last few years, there has been an increasing emphasis among linguists, psychologists, and educators in the study of how children acquire Chinese. This paper, looking from a linguistic point of view, traces the major studies of acquisition of Chinese done in China and in North America from 1759 to 1979. Emphasis is placed on the early period of linguistic development (up to 3 years of age). It is hoped that this overview can provide some background knowledge to people who are interested in this area.

摘要

近幾年來,臺灣及北美洲的語言學家,心理學家,及敎育學家,對中國兒童怎樣學習母語,特別感到興趣。作者由語言學的觀點,介紹由一七五九年至一九七九內在這方面的一些重要文獻。本文重點側重於幼兒早期(出生至三歲)的語言發展。
